BEETLE 68 - Into the Void

The plot follows the crew of the Beetle 68, an industrial-grade exploration vessel operated by the United Space Federation (USF), as they travel the barren and often perilous expanses of undiscovered space. What you may find in this story : > Industrial Brutalism> Immersive World-Building> Cosmic Horror> Classic 4 Person Party Style Space Adventure> Detail-Heavy Plot> Profound Sense of Discovery Unlike sleek, utopian sci-fi, the world of Beetle 68 is defined by hydraulic fluid, redundant plating, heavy industrialized hulls and interior, along with the constant noise of life-support systems. The story functions as a technological log from the commander of the ship, prioritizing functionality over human comfort. Amidst the mechanical noises of machinaries and the scent of hydraulic fluid, its crew navigates the bleak borders of unknown space in search of first contact. Their mission spirals into Cosmic Horror as they stumble upon dead galaxies and anomalies that defy reality, revealing a universe of cold indifference. While the crew is haunted by the dread of these silent graveyards, the USF remains oblivious, treating their harrowing discoveries as mere technical data. Under the weight of Industrial Brutalism. the crew stands alone against a vacuum that is not just empty, but predatory.
