Nora believes fiction is control. Her characters move when she tells them to. Her scenes unfold exactly as planned. Then her manuscript starts changing on its own. A sentence appears that she never wrote. Zayn begins noticing things he should not notice. Lina reacts to lines that were never meant to exist. As the story slips out of Nora’s control, the boundary between writer and fiction starts to break. Because if she is no longer the only one writing the story, then the story may already be writing her back.
