Vicky begins to notice small disturbances in her everyday life. Familiar spaces feel subtly altered. Sounds arrive a fraction too late. At times, she senses a presence close to her own, as if something is waiting for her to notice it. As these moments accumulate, Vicky finds herself drawn toward patterns she doesn’t remember choosing and questions she can’t fully articulate. What starts as private unease slowly erodes her confidence in the continuity of her own experience, forcing her to confront the possibility that memory, perception, and identity may not align the way she has always assumed. The Lattice is a psychological speculative novel about fractured perception, the persistence of memory, and the unsettling consequences of becoming aware that one’s reality may no longer be stable.
