Adam Kael never meant to solve anything.
It started with numbers.
Not ordinary numbers—but patterns that shouldn't exist. Patterns that appeared where they didn’t belong. Patterns that seemed to observe him back.
Then came the first world.
A closed system. A test.
Then another.
And another.
Each more complex than the last.
Each designed not to be solved…
but to study the one attempting to solve it.
Now, in the aftermath of what should have been the end, reality no longer behaves like reality. Time hesitates. Memory negotiates. People agree on things that are wrong—and become right because of it.
The world isn’t breaking.
It’s adapting.
To him.
As governments attempt to contain what they call “The Event,” Adam begins to understand the truth:
He was never the solver.
He was the variable.
And something—something vast, silent, and learning—has been watching every decision he’s made.
Refining him.
Preparing him.
