Ishida Moroboshi, a brilliant young sstudent, finds his life upended when he rescues Lisara, a girl with a royal temperament and no knowledge of modern technology, from the shores of a lake. As he hides her identity at school, he discovers she is a temporal refugee pulled from an ancient civilization during a secret Antarctic experiment conducted by his parents years prior. Haunted by nightmares of a lost friend named Urahara, Lisara eventually realizes that her presence in the modern world is creating catastrophic reality-warping "Time Quakes." To save the future, Ikeda and Lisara must return to the Antarctic where they discover a soul-binding connection across eras, culminating in a bittersweet sacrifice as Lisara returns to her own time to heal the timeline, leaving Ishida to continue his life in hopes of one day reuniting with his "princess" from the past.
