Foreign Variables: Wrong Destiny

Imagine a world that is trying to control everything, then it goes and summons the one thing it can't control… Imagine how it would be, if people made a sentient nuclear bomb… In a war-torn world where science and magic have fused into weapons of precision, control is everything. Every move is calculated, every risk minimized, every outcome predicted. Nations don’t fight for survival anymore—they fight for dominance over fate itself. So when desperation pushes them to perform a forbidden ritual, they believe they’ve secured their victory. A hero. A weapon. A solution. But what they bring into their world isn’t something that can be guided so easily. Arin was never meant to exist here. Torn from his own life and thrown into a battlefield he doesn’t understand, he is forced to adapt—fast. Surrounded by allies who trust too quickly, enemies who know too much, and a system that expects him to become their savior, he begins to notice something no one else does. Things don’t add up. Not the war. Not the enemy. Not even the people on his side. As secrets begin to surface and truths start to fracture, Arin chooses a different path. Instead of blindly following, he watches. Learns. Manipulates. Because in a world obsessed with control, the most dangerous thing isn’t power— it’s unpredictability. And just when he starts to understand the rules of this new world… they break. A second summoning. A name that shouldn’t exist. And a battle that was never meant to be won. This is not the story of a hero. This is the story of what happens when control meets chaos.
