Kael has six cards, no deck, and no Game Watch. She's never played a ranked match in her life. She also knows the meta better than half the professionals on the circuit. In a world where card game mastery can take you from nothing to champion, from poverty to the dream life, Kael watches from the sidelines from the back of an old shop, on a cracked screen with the volume at four, filling notebooks with match notes nobody asked her to take. She doesn't have the money to play. She doesn't have the equipment. What she has is an eye for the game that borders on something else entirely. Then a chance encounter puts a real deck in her hands. Crownless is a progression story about the girl with no rank, no resources, and no intention of losing.
