Armed with the memories of his past life, Soren transmigrates into a brutal world forsaken by the gods. He doesn't wake up to a hero's glorious destiny, nor does he receive a divine blessing. Instead, he gets a glitching, static-ridden system rewriting its own rules to fit a dying world: [Death's Ledger]. Born into the freezing, desolate northern borders of the Kingdom of Arnor, there is no grand fantasy adventure awaiting him. Instead, he is met with a century-drought and a catastrophic famine that sweeps up a million souls. In a dark era where greedy lords hoard grain and starving refugees turn to cannibalism, morality melts away like thin snow beneath a scorching sun. Starting with a measly 1 point in [Fate] and three innate [Traits] that feel more like malicious curses, Soren is nothing but an ant at the bottom of the food chain. It isn't long before he meets his first agonizing, gruesome demise. But that is when he discovers the Ledger's true power—a power that can only be unlocked through blood and death. Each demise does not return him to the dust. Every horrific death experience serves as a stepping stone, pushing him to mutate and evolve into an increasingly terrifying form. From an undead wraith rising from rot to an abyssal monstrosity that devours flesh, the agonizing cost of dying becomes his currency to level up. Since frail mortal flesh cannot survive this freezing hell on earth, he has no choice but to forge himself into a demon within the abyss of endless deaths.
