Ron Del Rosario is a nobody by day—minimum-wage dungeon guide, invisible office worker, forgettable face in the crowd. By night, he becomes XEL: masked assassin, demon hunter, and the Philippines' deadliest secret. While ranked hunters like the radiant Saint Coco and the brilliant Lea Verano fight in the spotlight, XEL moves through shadows slaughtering nightmares with his cursed katana Nightfeeder—growing stronger with every kill. But the Calamity that spawned the dungeons is not random. When Lea discovers traces of demon aura at a massacre site, she begins hunting the fox-masked predator. Ron must maintain his fragile double life while unraveling the truth: that the Calamity has a creator, that his power has no limit, and that Nightfeeder is getting hungry enough to devour the world.
