Lord of the Ascension

A progression fantasy, but not the usual “get stronger and win fights” kind.
The story follows Aster, a boy who survives the fall of his own clan and ends up under the control of the Empire that destroyed it. Instead of freedom, he’s forced into a system where power isn’t just strength it’s something called Authority, and every type of power comes with strict rules.
His path is based on sequence.
He has to decide his actions before they happen. Once he starts, he can’t change anything. No adapting mid-fight, no fixing mistakes. it’s about learning how to think, observe, and choose correctly under pressure.
The story starts slower on building his mindset and growth from the beginning. Over time, it expands into multiple POVs (like Nolan), showing different ways people deal with the same world and power system.
Here Aster seeks to survive, to understand, and to climb.
Because in a world where every step grants power and demands a price.
And stopping means disappearing.
This is the beginning of the Lord of the Ascension.
