The Impossible Apothecary

Flu Windraven has just received her healer’s license and her very first assignment, and she couldn't be more excited to begin her new life as the village apothecary. Unfortunately, the people of Tansy Vale are far less enthusiastic. They were expecting a respectable shopkeeper with neat shelves, sensible shoes, and perhaps a nice herb garden. What they got instead was a bog witch in black, with strange habits, stranger magic, and a house that is somehow even more unsettling than she is. Now rumors of the spooky witch in the haunted cottage stalking the forest are beginning to spread, and Flu’s hopes of making a good first impression are rotting in the swamp. Still, all she wants is to help her neighbors, and build a home in the woods with her remarkable cottage. Between suspicious villagers, bureaucratic headaches, forest creatures, and the slow work of earning trust, Flu will have to prove that neither she nor her peculiar home are anything to fear. The Impossible Apothecary is a cozy fantasy about magical healing, village life, strange little monsters, and finding a place to belong.
