After years of grinding to finish his novel, Evan wakes up to find himself transported into the body of a powerful mage in the world he created. Only the world is far different from what he wrote. More than forty years have passed since the legendary archmage Valis Rook defeated the Demon Lord, and the “peace” Evan wrote into existence has started to falter. Mages claw for power, dangerous factions hunt the lost artifacts of the greatest archmage in history, and whispers have begun to surface that the Demon Lord was never truly defeated at all. Armed with absurd magical power and dangerously high charisma, Evan is quickly pulled into a world that has long since outgrown his story. Are the rumors true? Is the world in danger of its greatest threat returning? How is he connected to the dead archmage? He’ll have to fully embrace the man he has become if he has any hope of finding out the truth. WHAT TO EXPECT: - OPMC from the start, with a slight learning curve as he gets used to the power.- Mixture of faster-paced story and slice of life moments throughout.- A world that the MC knows well, but not completely. Some things have certainly changed in the past several decades, and some parts of the world will be new to him. It's just more fun that way.- Mentor arc- Snarky cat companion. Because cats are awesome. New chapters Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Potential bonus chapters on Saturdays. Advanced chapters available on Patreon.
