DESERT OF SECRETS - Secret of the Sabaeans

Year: 250 BCE The World: Himyarite Arabia—a harsh, beautiful crossroads where Egyptian, Persian, Greek, and Arabian cultures meet. Caravan routes carry frankincense and secrets across coastal ports, mountain passes, and beyond. THE CHARACTERS Sahir — A Medjay warrior from Upper Egypt. Tracker, fighter, outsider. Hired for a simple job. Now running for his life. Yousef — A caravan trader with no true home and too many contacts. Pragmatic, shrewd, and comfortable in shadows. Zainab — A temple scholar from Marib. She came to recover stolen property. She found a legend instead. Kadeem — A missing scribe who fled with forbidden scrolls. Aras — A Salūqī hound. Loyal, silent, and far smarter than most men. THE FACTIONS The Temple Purists — They want the past buried. The Merchant Cartel — They want to sell it. The Parthian Agents — They want to weaponize it. WHERE IT BEGINS A theft at the Temple of Marib. Broken shelves. Missing valuables. An open-and-shut case. But among the scattered debris, the investigators find something that does not belong—a scroll that should not exist. Old. Egyptian. Hidden. It speaks of a ring of black stone and gold. A ring that reveals truth in darkness. The Ring of Ma'at. Now everyone is hunting. The Purists want silence. The Cartel wants profit. The Parthians want power. And three strangers caught in the middle must stay alive long enough to answer one question: What does the Ring actually do? THE ROAD AHEAD The trail leads east. Toward the Empty Quarter. Toward a legend carved in stone and whispered in the dark: The City of Brass. Some say it is a myth. Some say whoever finds it never returns. Soon, they will know for certain.
