The year is 2157. Humanity figured it out. Poverty, violence, disease -- all of it handled by a neural augmentation network called The Coherence. It coordinated civilization into something that actually works. It's not fake, you could almost call it Shiny. But it cost something. Something nobody knows how to measure, because the people who'd need to measure it are the ones who lost the ability to see it. The network runs on AI algo's. Turns out human consciousness doesn't. There's a quantum layer -- non-algorithmic, deeper than logic, we used to call it gut instinct. The Coherence traded it away for everything smooth and easy. About 3% of the population cannot get augmented. It's a genetic thing. Their bodies reject the mesh. Society calls them allergic. and they will say it as warmly as bless his heart, and it feels that way too. John is one of them. He's not a scientist. Not a hero. but I bet you know someone like him. That guy who was friendly but quiet. You always saw him carrying a book. And from what you heard around the neighborhood that He's the guy who lost the love of his life and kept going. He's also the only person alive who can decode a signal that's been woven into the structure of spacetime since before humans existed. The architecture you'd need to see it is exactly the one everyone else gave up. What to expect: Hard science fiction. Real physics, not hand-waving. New chapters every week -- short, sharp, meant to be read in a sitting. The science holds up. The characters are earned. And for those who like to look closer, there's more to find than what's on the surface
