The Breaching

Roe of the Rock is an outcast (wrong color hair, wrong color eyes, unconventional talent) in her out-of-the-way hometown in Henatia. She is the best stone breacher alive. Like the others in her clan, she can form perfect blocks from extracted quarry rock – all by sheer will through focused visualization. Roe escapes with Aril Demont, the Purchaser famous for his wooden sword, and together they travel to Taway to transport Lord Sader's bride to the capital – Ronoke – besieged by black magic wielded by Westlofer of Went and his sorcerers barraging Larenthal with oversize insects and other frightful creatures.
