In the aftermath of global food shortages and escalating climate instability, two scientists unknowingly help build the foundation of a system that will change humanity forever. Elisabeth Shepard, a young biochemist, develops a breakthrough in food engineering. Protein enhancements that make crops more resilient, nutrient-dense, and shelf-stable. What begins as a solution to world hunger quickly attracts the attention of powerful government entities, who see her work as something far more valuable than food. Across the country, Nathaniel Abrams, an atmospheric specialist working with the Air Force, possesses an uncanny ability to read the natural world. Predicting storms through subtle environmental shifts others can’t detect. His instincts are translated into a model meant to stabilize the climate. But as Nathaniel digs deeper, he discovers the model is being used to manipulate and redirect storms for strategic control. As these two projects begin to merge under a secretive coalition known as The Trust, Elisabeth’s protein research is weaponized into something far more dangerous. These substances can be activated and controlled, making them capable of altering cognition and memory. As Nathaniel realizes the true purpose behind The Trust’s plans, he begins quietly sabotaging the system from within. Elisabeth, driven by ambition and blind to the broader implications, pushes forward with her work, unknowingly setting the stage for catastrophe. The project spirals out of control. Memories are altered, storms are redirected, and the line between survival and control disappears. In the end, the cost of their discoveries will force impossible choices. Choices that could alter the course of humanity. The Mnemosyne Project is the prequel to the book series, Flyaway Cub.
