Joshua Cross was supposed to die once. Instead, Heaven made it permanent. Every time Joshua dies, he wakes up in another chapter of history—Ancient Rome, Viking Norway, Egypt, and places far stranger—where surviving long enough to die again is somehow the easy part. The hard part is dealing with Heaven. Because Heaven isn't an endless paradise. It's a bureaucracy. Every resurrection comes with contracts. Every miracle comes with fees. Every mistake creates another disaster someone has to explain to God. Joshua doesn't want to become a prophet, a demon, a god, or a historical legend. Unfortunately, history has other ideas. As myths unravel, civilizations spiral off course, and an increasingly exhausted Heaven struggles to clean up after him, Joshua discovers that immortality isn't a blessing. It's an administrative error.
