Journeying through the endless skies

There have been many stories about people traversing into different worlds. Some send you to worlds full of magic creatures. Others send you to futuristic worlds, full of machinery way ahead of its time. And then there are the people who travel in similar world worlds as ours, only to end up facing some sort of apocalypse. "Even the worst of those worlds would have been a better than this. So tell me god. Why did you send me to a random island in the middle of the sky!?"
