Torque Salis is the least-respected apprentice in a city that barely respects mirror-makers. When a stranger commissions an impossible mirror, Torque’s master vanishes through the finished glass. Torque follows him into a ruined world of ancient road-law, predatory claimants, and powers that treat people like property. Something went wrong in the crossing. The road did not stay behind. Now reflections answer Torque, old laws are beginning to notice him, and every scrap of power he gains comes with a cost. If the factions gathering around him learn what he has become, they will not let him walk away. To save his master and survive the world beyond the glass, Torque must master the thing that crossed with him before it decides who owns him. What to expect: -Dark fantasy portal progression -Local protagonist with eerie, law-bound advancement -Ruined roads, claimants, and old powers waking -Power that changes you and makes enemies
