A holy-war without a god. A legend without a soul. In a world built on a "lion’s back", where the only escape is the legendary Southern Sky, the Sudani and the Mundini have drenched the desert sands in blood. What began as a sacred crusade for the god Jahal has devolved into a cycle of mass genocide and bitter revenge. Leading his troops in battle is Admiral Maximus Invictus. When he and his troops prepare to go into a battle that could change the fate of the centuries long war, a murderous new threat forces him to decide between being a servant of a silent god, or the architect of his own destruction. Will he be able to save his planet even if it means losing everything he's ever known? The Southern Sky is a thrilling grimdark sci-fi tale that tackles the topics of existentialism, colonialism and facing the harsh reality that some things can not be reversed -- even after sacrifice.
