At fifty-six, Mark isn't looking to save the world. He's simply trying to survive in it. When he is pulled from his ordinary life into an unfamiliar world with a mysterious System and no way home, his priorities become painfully simple: find food, build shelter, secure clean water, and stay alive long enough to understand the rules. Before long, however, he discovers he isn't alone. More people continue to arrive, each just as confused and unprepared as he was. Children, families, farmers, craftsmen, and explorers all find themselves starting over in a dangerous new world where survival depends as much on cooperation as it does on strength. While others focus on leveling, Mark discovers that his greatest strength isn't fighting monsters. Instead, he finds himself organizing settlements, solving problems, connecting isolated communities, and building the roads, workshops, trade routes, and infrastructure that allow people to do more than simply survive. What begins as a lone shelter gradually grows into a camp, then an outpost, and eventually a thriving village. As new regions are explored, dangerous dungeons are uncovered, trade expands, and civilization slowly begins to take root. With every success come greater responsibilities, and Mark soon realizes that building a future for hundreds of people is far more difficult than surviving alone. Not Meant to Survive is a LitRPG settlement-building adventure featuring an older protagonist, exploration, regional development, trade, crafting, infrastructure, dungeons, and long-term progression instead of a lone overpowered hero.
