Ed McKean was expecting another uneventful day at work when a man in a medieval suit of armor came into his record shop and abducted him, using an egg. Now, as Sir Tristan’s unwitting companion in a quest to reclaim a stolen throne, Ed finds himself on an adventure filled with magic, danger, and beef jerky sticks. Pursued by Tristan’s mysterious sister and two hard-boiled FBI agents, Ed and Tristan travel from the streets of Chicago to a corn cult in the Midwest, all the way to a far-off realm filled with wonders unlike anything Ed has ever seen. But with enemies closing in and the stakes growing higher, Ed will have to decide whether he’s just along for the ride or ready to risk everything for his new friend.
