That question drove William into a downward spiral until, at last, he chose suicide over the noise.
Instead of oblivion, he awakens in the body of the Mad King — a vampire unlike any other. Tall. Beautiful. Powerful. Everything he had once wanted.
And it disgusts him.
A new world, a perfect body, impossible power — none of it fills the emptiness that made him want to die in the first place.
Now calling himself Raziel, he is forced to contend with the other personalities inhabiting his body and rebuild their fallen [Dread State]: a county ruled by vampires, for vampires.
His reward, if he succeeds?
A peaceful death.
But if becoming the perfect person is not enough, then what is? And can Raziel find an answer to the question that destroyed William before the monster inside him finds one first?
