Can the Villainess Truly Survive?

Story continued on Ao3:  https://archiveofourown.org/works/83417921 What to expect:  - Slice of life - Comedy - Drama Mara was an ordinary office worker. Her savings were nonexistent, her live was depressing, and her love life was frankly pathetic. However, Mara had one saving grace, her otome games. She was laughed at for it, but knew that the men in the games were the only ones who'd ever love her, the only world she could escape to. Suddenly, Mara died a boring death without achieving anything in her life. As she laid bleeding, she prayed, begging for a chance to make some sort of mark on the world. Mara closed her eyes but not for the last time, she awoke to be in a familiar place. Wasn't this from the game she was just playing? Is this purgatory? Mara explored further, realizing with dread that the characters she thought were the only ones to love her now hate her too. She was now the villainess, Victoria Fiorda, the villainess who's destined to die in over 50 ways. Can Mara ever hope to survive? And even then, can she ever win the affection of the men she loved so much? [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
