Adela Grayson has lived 500 years as a vampire, stuck at age eleven. Now, after half a century she's human once more. Because of a thwarted attempt on her life, she has relocated from her fictional world of origin to the real world. Everyone keeps asking her if she's okay. Adela finds this more than a little ironic. After all, if she can survive her mother's oppression, being a vampire, the breaking and an assassination attempt, she can certainly handle being human...even if that does mean she has to go to school...
