My entry into the Royal Road Writeathon April 2026! Valentine thought he had an real job, with adult responsibilities, toiling away as the manager of an electronics store in the modern world of the early 2000s, but he's about to find out how fake that life really is. A beautiful vampire woman, and her beagle, upend that life and induct him into the Real World, the world of ancient vampire matriarchs and assorted evil monsters. In the Real World, you bind yourself to a powerful monster — or you die. What to expect: * A primary Romance plot. * Lots of monster action and violence. * Relationships with deeply unfair power imbalances (it's vampires, y'all). * No explicit on-page sex.
