His monotonous life ends abruptly when a cute, mysterious girl forcibly drags him into another world. There, he’s told his best hope of returning home is to become a "Hero." Because apparently, his life was just so thrilling before. But he quickly learns that a fantasy world isn't quite what he imagined.  Between the lethal monsters and even deadlier people, Kamiro’s new life is looking shorter than his last shift at the convenience store. Just as he starts leaning into the clichés of being an adventurer, his first "typical" escort quest takes a turn for the unexpected.  Will his story end before the first chapter is even over?
