Gabe has spent his life dreaming of magic and adventure, growing up in his family’s inn on the edge of the wilds, listening to stories of distant lands and forgotten power. When he and his childhood friend Chris are accepted into the prestigious Briarvale Academy, that dream finally becomes reality. But Briarvale is more than a school, it is a place where magic is being rediscovered in a world still recovering from a tumultuous past. As students learn to wield and shape magic, they also face its dangers, both within the academy and beyond its borders. Drawn to the art of Imbuement, Gabe begins to explore the possibility of bringing his creations to life through magic. But as he and Chris navigate their training, the risks of magic, as well as the reality of the wilds, become impossible to ignore.
