In a world where magic has a pattern, the man who can code is king.  That is why mild-mannered but overworked data analyst Kenjiro Sakamoto was plucked from his gaming chair and dropped into the magical world of Cynvael.  Fleeing danger he spent the night in a tree only to be woken up by the girl of his dreams chopping that tree down. Due to a linguistic misunderstanding he enters a whirlwind of romance and adventure with a cat girl samurai and somehow ends up being the court wizard of a new kingdom despite never having been to magic school. Now a nerd from San Francisco, a cat-eared samurai, and an exasperated onmyoji mystic must learn how to communicate with each other, and become an effective adventuring party.  They parley with dragons, strip-mine entire dungeons, and figure out the logistics of town building - all in between Kenjiro's magic lessons.
