When Thane is bitten during a holiday in South America, he and his friends are dragged into a brutal hidden society obsessed with secrecy, hierarchy, and survival. To earn the right to live, they must find their place among the Nation and survive deadly trials beneath the rule of the Nine Primes. The old stories about werewolves got a lot wrong. As the three friends discover what they've become, they'll learn to fight, grow in strength, unlock abilities they never knew existed, and stumble headfirst into a world of ancient bloodlines, magic, monsters, forbidden relationships, and secrets that were buried for a reason. The Rising is a character-driven progression fantasy with soft LitRPG elements, multiple magic systems and subclasses, martial arts, romance, humour, violence, and adult themes. But at its heart, this isn't a story about becoming powerful, it's about three best friends growing up together through the highs, the lows, the victories, the heartbreak, and everything in between.
