Within the decaying walls of a grand palace, a Goddess of Balance who has survived centuries of loneliness meets a Dark God who has forgotten the meaning of peace–until her. For more than a millennium, he has commanded the monsters that haunt the shadows and lurk in nightmares. Brutally efficient, precise and numb—always in complete control. But now, the Son of the Night has learned one thing a Dark God should never know–what it feels like to be whole. He would damn the world to keep her safe and wait centuries for her. But while the Daughter of Zeus opens her heart to him and accepts his protection, she denies him the one thing he craves–her complete surrender. While she plays politics with other supernatural beings, moving listlessly from her mansion to ancient halls to exotic places around the world, she denies herself what her heart truly wants. But he keeps showing up in her life—a dark, dangerous presence that follows her every step, watching the threats that lurk in every corner. Unyielding and worshipful, he gently seduces her and waits patiently for her to realize that in his shadows, is the only place she is truly safe. A slow-burn mythic story about trauma, divine responsibility, and the terrifying devotion of a man who is never tamed. -No manipulation or abuse- [UPDATED STORY COMING SOON]
