Azriel Invictus has walked more than one world. Across distant star systems and shattered realms, he has lived nine lives under different skies. He has been warrior and ruler, exile and legend. Eight of those lives reached their natural end, but his first life did not. When his ninth life closes, Azriel does not pass into death. Instead, he is drawn beyond the boundaries of existence, where a cosmic being reveals a truth that fractures everything he thought he understood: His soul has been cycling through worlds not by fate but by correction. Long ago, in the very first life he ever lived, something intervened. A divine force cut his life short before its purpose could unfold. That fracture rippled across star systems, unbalancing the design of reality itself. To mend the disruption, the cosmos cast his soul forward again and again refining it, strengthening it, preparing it. Now, after nine lives, Azriel must return to the beginning to relive the life that was stolen from him. As he walks the First Path again, memories whisper at the edge of consciousness. Forgotten powers stir. Gods who once interfered begin to fear what their mistake has become. Because the mystery of that first life was never just about death.
