A bond forged in blood. A power that demands a soul. In the world of Dalun'tur, legends are usually written in gold, but Amon’s story is being etched in shadow. To save Rea from a fate worse than death, Amon made a choice that fractured his very existence—gifting her a portion of his power and taking on a curse that threatens to consume his mind. Now, they walk a path through a realm that fears them, bound together by a pact that is as much a lifeline as it is a ticking clock. As Amon battles the encroaching madness of his own magic, Rea must find her own strength before the man who saved her becomes the greatest threat the world has ever known. In a land where gods are stuttering and ancient citadels are falling, two outcasts must decide what they are willing to sacrifice: their world, or each other.
