When the royal astronomers of the empire imprisoned the stars of our hearts, the guts of the moon boiled with incandescent fury. The apocalypse started at the fringes, storms and cataclysms. Soon, the empire was besieged by things that were dead and those that ought not to be alive. It affected many who did not know of it, and few who knew of the truth were affected. The hubris of the few, and the consequences borne by the many. Yet it is the system sustained by the many that allowed those few to access the power they denied all others. This is the story of an unlikely witness, who, even though it takes a lot to change the world, would end up causing quite a lot indeed. Enough to change not just the world, but, just perhaps, even herself. But, baby steps, aren‘t you an eager one? It‘s going to take quite a while until she can.
