This story is a work of fiction written by Ted Pick Jr under the Pen Name, "Purpleharp". If this is being read on any website other than Royal Road, Patreon, or Amazon/Kindle Services, then it has been stolen/pirated.You’re walking in the woods. There’s no one around, and your phone is dead. Agh! Your hand rises to your forehead, coming away wet and sticky. You find it is covered in blood. Is it yours? You don’t know, but considering your head hurts… probably? Looking up into the trees, you see daylight overhead filtering through the leaves. You can’t tell if it is early morning or later in the day, now that you think of it. You can’t even tell who you are. Am I suffering from amnesia? You wonder. Maybe that hit on the head knocked your memory out of you as well? Doing a slow spin, you look back the way you came. There’s a trail through the woods, overhung and dark. Doing your best, you can’t see further than a few feet down the trail at a time. Your footprints lead from the trail to where you are currently standing. Ahead of you, opposite the dark trail, is a clearing in the trees. It looks like maybe a glade? How do you know what a glade is? Maybe you used to be a forester or a park ranger? Looking at the two options, you have to make a choice. Which way do you go? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Genres: • Mystery • LitRPG • Adventure • Survival • Reader Interactive What to Expect: • Amnesia • Lots of YOU HAVE DIED • An adventure where your choices matter
