The House of Michis looks like an ordinary home.A living room, a kitchen, open windows, cat food, naps in the sun. But it isn’t. This place is the most sacred, dangerous, and impenetrable point in the multiverse—where laws cease to be absolute… and even the narrative itself is forced to obey. Here live cats that should not exist: entities capable of breaking magic, silencing gods, destroying prophecies, and rewriting entire stories simply by being present. Beings that, in other worlds, would be final bosses. Here… they are guests. And yet… they sleep on couches, knock things off tables, hide in boxes, and wait for dinner like any other cat. Because that is the purpose of this place. To contain them. To reduce the infinite into the ordinary. To force the absolute to coexist with the trivial. And to remind them of something their worlds forgot: that without limits… there is no story. Humans live here too—people who don’t fully understand what is happening inside their own home…or perhaps understand it too well, and have learned not to ask questions. To coexist. To accept. To survive. Not everything here is about fights. Sometimes there are journeys to the past that no one remembers the next day.Sometimes impossible concerts that last only a moment outside of time.Sometimes alternate timelines where a single birth can reshape entire cosmic wars. And sometimes, at the center of everything, there is something much simpler: love, loss, memory…and the weight of existing when there is nothing left to conquer. The House of Michis is a collection of stories—cosmic, intimate, strange, and sometimes ridiculous—where the ordinary coexists with the omniversal. A place where gods learn to be bored.Where monsters learn to wait. And where even the most absolute beings… learn to stay. Because some universes are held together by swords.Others, by laws.Others, by fear. This one… is held together by cats. 🐾 ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– This story was originally written in Spanish. The English version has been translated and carefully refined.
