When their world gets invaded by isekai protagonists, the NPCs must fight back. Victor has spent his entire life training to be a member of the Kingsguard. It has been his one ambition, his singular dream, for as long as he can remember. Then a bunch of freaks teleported into his world, gained inordinate amounts of power in a matter of months, and decided to off the king because he apparently yielded a lot of something called ‘experience’. They then started going around and ruining everything in increasingly bizarre ways. From murdering rare magical creatures in an endless XP grind, to breaking the laws of magic to run the ‘best bakery possible’, these outworlders are all overpowered, unreasonable, forces of destruction and chaos. It’s now up to Victor to stop this plague of Isekai protagonists from completely destroying his world… Or maybe just die trying. What The Heck Am I Reading? You are about to read a storytelling experiment the likes of which you’ve never seen before (unless you were here the last time we did this!). Or at least not since grade school. Each writer contributes one chapter to the whole, but they can only read the chapter directly before theirs. No notes, no outlines. Minimal context. Maximum madness. Will it be coherent? Absolutely not. Will it be entertaining? Without a doubt. Buckle up for an insane ride. Meet The Authors (and more info on the rules of the game)!

Traffic and conversion both sit mid-field for a story this size. Growth here compounds from consistency: steady cadence feeds traffic, and a sharper hook lifts what each view is worth.
At this conversion, the Comedy Rising Stars bar (≈2 new followers/day) costs about 258 views/day — the story currently gets ~32.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 20–49 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
