Shen Yuan was supposed to be finished. A quiet, forgettable high school student, he had just typed the final words of his six-hundred-chapter novel and consigned its ruthless protagonist, Fu Huang, to a fitting end beneath Heaven’s Will. Then the lights went out. Ink crawls from his laptop. A mirror opens onto another world. And instead of the ending he wrote, Shen Yuan sees Fu Huang standing at the very beginning of the story—alive, bloodied, and trapped once more on Soul-Shattering Cliff. When Shen Yuan writes a single sentence to save him, reality answers. Flesh blackens. Memory disappears. Meaning begins to rot. Now Shen Yuan is bound to a world that should have ended, and to a swordsman who should not have returned to its first page. Every intervention demands payment. Every change in fate tears something from his body, his mind, or something worse. In one world, Fu Huang fights through a story that has begun again with the wrong memories and the wrong rules. In another, Shen Yuan learns that writing reality is not power. It is debt. And the more he pays, the easier it becomes to see people not as human beings— but as resources. Author's Note It's been a while. I've decided to put The Ink Destiny on hold because I wasn't satisfied with the direction of the original version. Rather than continuing a story that I already knew I wanted to change, I chose to step back and rebuild it properly.
