I can't stand imps

Senior Mage Artelius is a man of great intellect, impeccable reputation… and a deep, unwavering hatred of imps. So when three of the creatures escape his laboratory, wreak havoc, and—most unforgivably—steal something extremely valuable, Artelius has no choice but to hunt them down personally. It should have been simple. They’re just imps. From uncooperative forests to overcrowded cities and far worse places beyond, Artelius finds himself dragged into a pursuit that grows increasingly absurd, dangerous, and expensive. Worse still, the imps seem far more troublesome than any reasonable mage would expect. Armed with magic, stubborn pride, and a rapidly thinning supply of patience, Artelius sets out to reclaim what is his. Preferably without the entire world collapsing in the process.
