The first Tablet has been taken. What was supposed to stay buried is being gathered again, and whatever holds the Abyss in place is starting to falter. Devan and his companions follow the only leads they have, moving south through ruins, old paths, and places that should have been left alone. But they’re not the only ones searching. Every step puts them closer to the truth — and further from stopping it. The Tablets are being claimed, one after the other, by something that knows exactly what it’s doing. Along the way, the road fills with new faces, old ties, and choices that won’t leave anyone unchanged. Trust is built where it has to be. Broken where it can’t hold. And survival starts to mean more than just staying alive. Because the world around them is shifting. Not all at once. Not enough for everyone to see.
