In a world where magic enabled humanity to face the enigmatic creatures known as Bosses, the Classes were born—classes that today determine the fate of every individual. Klein Meyer knows this all too well: he lost his family at the hands of one of those monsters. Years later, after failing the test that determines the future of every magic-user, he is sent to a Dungeon as punishment for his weakness. There, on the brink of death, he finds something that ought not to exist: an ancient book called the Codex of Lira. Upon touching it, he awakens an unknown Class... Summoner. But survival brings him no glory. Following the incident in the dungeon, Klein is betrayed by the nobles he saved and banished from his own land, branded with the mark of the exile. Homeless, without support, and possessing a power that defies all logic, Klein embarks on a journey of no return. His goal: to discover the true workings of the world and unravel the dark mystery behind the existence of the Bosses. Yet he will soon realise that every truth revealed demands an incalculable price.
