In the era of Celestial Faith, the worth of your existence is etched into your skin at birth, Ophelia bears the mark of the Gods, a star-born miracle. On her 14th birthday, a large, but faint mark appeared on her back—a sign of favor from the Gods themselves. It was a day to be celebrated, and celebrate they did. But the glory was short-lived. In a single night of blood and fire, Heretics reduced her village to ash, leaving Ophelia with a scarred face, a hollow heart, and a desperate hope: that her divine mark would be the key in reclaiming her destined life. Two years later, in the heart of the Empire, the royal capital, Ciceli, the truth is finally revealed. At the Rite of Realization, her "miracle" is unmasked as the Stigma—the Mark of the Damned. Cast down from grace and treated as worthless trash by the Academy’s elite, Ophelia is betrayed and left for dead in the deepest recesses of the Spire's Dungeon. But beneath the roots of the sacred Spire lies a secret the Gods have spent centuries trying to bury. There, shackled in the dark, waits the hero of the old world—and the true legacy of the Morningstar. The Gods didn’t deny Ophelia’s existence. They feared it. For her mark was no curse—it was a remnant of a love that once tore down the Heavens, and it is the only weapon capable of doing it again. Their reign will come to an end, the Heavens will fall once more, and the Stars will know fear.
