Unsubscriber: Learn Real MagicFantasy / Psychological / Mystery Welcome. Updates are frequent. My goal: post scenes when there is meaningful setup, payoff, or genuine progress (rather than chasing word count for its own sake.) When a new episode begins (including this first one), the full episode will already be available on Patreon for readers who prefer to read in larger arcs. Season One includes:“Fall Back Into Place,” “To Hold a Séance,” and one currently untitled episode. Even more are pending. Season Two [Doomscroll: Learn Real Magic] is already in progress. Some readers may feel tempted to pick on our dear friend Ellie. But she is no more our protagonist than Nick Carraway or Charlie Bucket were before her. Like them, Ellie stumbles into an extraordinary world where she cannot afford to stay for too long. On the island, magic is something to be survived. Students all chase after something they call “school”: dangerous insights, body and mind-warping rituals, revelations which alter your perspective. Ellie feels an overwhelming responsibility to gather what she can before returning to the places and people of her past. Can she manage it before the island reshapes her into someone... or something unrecognizable. This is story about what it costs to learn real magic.
