Heavy metal bard in another world

Baal, a thirteen-year-old demonkin boy, lives on the edge of a city with few opportunities, struggling alongside his family to keep their restaurant afloat. When Baal suffers a head injury during a brutal encounter with his bully Andrew, whose father has trapped Baal's family in predatory debt, something extraordinary happens. Baal awakens memories from a past life as a soldier from earth who died in the most ridiculous way.  "Damn, my parents named me Baal—‘Lord’ or ‘Master’—same name as the demon lord that was defeated five centuries ago. It’s like naming your kid The undertaker, or The ultimate warrior. Awful for high school." Drawing upon his knowledge from his past life on Earth, he vows to introduce revolutionary cuisine and music to this fantasy world to save his parents restaurant.
