Tales of The DragonHeart

The story begins with an older man named Galakrond who, with his daughter and unborn son are the last of their kind called “Protodrakes” shortly into the prologue, they are attacked by several huge dragons known as the DragonFlights led by Alexstraza, the Dragonflight of Life, in a final act of defiance for being betrayed by his former comerades, Galakrond dives headfirst into the planet’s core and unleash the magic contained within, turning people into half human, half animal monsters such as Harpies, worgens, Draconids, etc. The first chapter of the story shifts to eighteen years later from the prologue to the perspective of the main protagonist named Ashton Trevino, Galakrond’s son raised as a human, not a dragon, who cause of his heritage harbors a dangerous secret to the two worlds. In a coming of age-esque plot he tries to adapt to a brand new world named Paldea as he is ripped away from everything he knew by a nefarious villain named Rafaam. At the same time, he is being tracked down by his sister Evelyn. Ashton meets many different people on his travels through Earth and Paldea, some of whom join his side in the main overarching plot which is to prevent Evelyn from bringing about the end of the world by using the bodies of those she’s slaughtered to rebirth her nearly extinct race using an inky black substance known as “blight” which are the coagulated souls of thousands of unrightfully genocided protodrakes. The biggest main subplot is Ashton attempting to get over an extremely abusive ex girlfriend and to learn how to love again and forge a relationship from nothing with an equally as hurt deuteragonist named Luna Snowfield who was abandoned by first ever partner, a female twilight elf named Willow. Another one is tensions growing between the capital of Paldea, Stormwind, and Dalaran a, now flying city home to the Kirin’tor, the twelve leaders of the magic classes. The main cast will visit so many colorful landscapes shifting between the real world taking place in a made up city named Silica City which is based on Manhattan and harsh deserts, massive oceans, in the land of Paldea which is an exact mirrored world to earth except with one major difference, the meteor that killed the dinosaurs was stopped by the dragonflights, so Paldea is essentially Pangea. I plan to wrap my story midway as a sort of fake out with Ash using a wish to ascend to godhood to rebuild Paldea and Earth after being destroyed by his sister Evelyn only to then release extra content where Luna works with the other main cast to forge a brand new wish to bring her lover back.
