by Calico Reefe
In the burning ruins of a town seized by a ruthless terrorist group, young John and his brother Jason fight to survive—and to reach the father the invaders have taken. Born with claws that can tear apart guard dogs even as a child, John hides a deadly secret: the wolf stirring inside him. While humans cling to fragile ignorance as the occupation tightens its grip, John must protect what remains of his family without revealing the monster he is becoming. When steel and gunfire clash with fangs and fury, two worlds collide. Can brotherhood endure the pressure of war, betrayal, and the beast within? Or will everything John loves burn to ashes around him?
