Have you ever wished an author would never end a story?  That is exactly what Du Gaein had done back in middle school—until high school. He wrote stories that raised him but never dared to end them. A cowardly writer stuck in his own fantasy when reality rejected him. Du Gaein—after facing a tragic ending, began a new story. But he recognized those stories. Those stories his pen traced, stories that were his only companions. He possessed a character of his own words, but not just any character; he was one of the worst villains in those stories. Despite knowing the events in those stories, he never reached or finished the epilogue. But every story has to have an ending.  What would Du Gaein do now to survive?
