PHANTASIA, passion & power

Mystics and myths are true; entities that existed beyond a creative veil lurk no further than beneath your nose. An entire world living on Earth, and no one knows it. Fairies, unicorns, and fire-breathing dragons–they’re real, only, they aren’t what everyone hopes they’d be. With other fantastic beasts, these mysterious beings have been the direct cause of Earth’s renowned historical disasters, tragedies, and crimes. Humans blaming themselves were nothing more than mere cover-ups for the truth, a truth that leaders of this tainted world are so desperate to hide. Though, the blame shouldn’t be so carelessly pointed around. The ones in charge had no choice, for not everyone is blessed to see the truth. U.P., AKA Ultimate Perception, a rare genetic mutation that allows individuals to see past a “mirage” that is repressed before the mundane eye. These people can see the true nature of this world, but while some deem it as a blessing–it is a damned curse.  Those with U.P were considered liabilities in the early 1900s; their very existence threatened panic, so the nations of the world came together to create a solution. They called it PHANTASIA. A carefully selected group of mercenaries with the genetic mutation and other supernatural abilities that are yet to be explained and solved. The system was simple, really;  to become the wall that kept mundane and fantasy apart, whether that be killing whatever beasts may roam, shutting down media groups that boasted about the unknown, or eliminating fugitives, it was perfect. Institutes soon spread across the world, becoming the number one, undercover organization that serves and protects humanity beneath the veil of fantasy. The year is 2050, and our story takes place in the TOKYO, JAPAN institute, one of the worst-rated institutes–a team of unlikely Phantasia Agents need to work together, their personalities contrasting, skill levels unbalanced, but they have no choice. They must suck it up, as not everything is what it seems. History is often, if not always, twisted. If the creators of Phantasia could fool the world, who's to say they haven’t fooled their very agents, too?  This story is dedicated to all of my beloved friends who helped in creating this world with me. ❤️
