Thomas Vale has spent eight years being right about everything at the wrong moment. Passed over. Managed out of rooms. Penalized, consistently, for seeing the vulnerability before anyone else did. When the System arrives and pulls him into a Tutorial, it doesn't grant him anything new. High INT. Unremarkable PER. Three skills — one of which has no name, no description, and a cursor blinking at 0.8 seconds per cycle in a field he cannot access. The other two have documentation. That one has: nothing. Thomas treats the Tutorial the way he treats everything else. He finds the attack surfaces. He catalogues the edge cases the System wasn't designed to expose. He discovers that the unintended mechanics aren't random — and he doesn't tell anyone. He picked the glass cannon class because he's always been theoretically excellent at it but he's never had to put his own life on the line to test the model. The Static is a LitRPG about a man who was always operating at sixty percent - not because he couldn't do more, but because the rooms he was in were designed to punish it. Expect: analytical combat, system exploitation, a protagonist whose internal monologue runs deeper than his external register, and a Tutorial that isn't behaving the way its administrators designed it to behave.
