In the poor dirt farming village of Sanctuary, at age seven, Andrea receives a crude "Cobblestone Array" from her teacher, Elder Thomas. Recognizing its inefficiency, she creates a specialized "scaffolding" spell to perform surgery on her own soul. Enhancements to her tools lead to further enhancements to her soul. This causes a runaway effect, the likes of which this realm has never known.
